Useful details
- A clear title, such as year, denomination and monarch.
- Country, mint, metal, weight and diameter when known.
- Your condition or grade notes and who provided them.
- Acquisition date, source and price where you want a purchase record.
- Obverse, reverse and edge photographs.
Be consistent
Use the same naming style across similar coins and record uncertainty rather than filling a field with a guess. Review the entry after saving to check that images and documents are attached to the correct coin.
You can return to the record as your research develops. Keeping the original acquisition information alongside later updates creates a more useful collecting history.
