- Confirm the denomination, date, mint and variety where possible.
- Assess wear, strike, marks, cleaning, damage and eye appeal.
- Check rarity and demand for the exact type and grade.
- Use recent comparable sales, allowing for differences in quality and venue.
- Record assumptions where photographs or information are incomplete.
Remote and in-person opinions
Photographs can support an initial view, but they may hide surface alteration, edge damage or authenticity concerns. We may ask to inspect a coin before confirming a valuation or purchase offer.
